Cab/Shuttle/Towncar Advice?

Hello! I am taking a trip to Disney from 1/21 to 1/25 with a friend and her daughter. I've searched the web for the various town car services, shuttles, and rental options available to get us from MCO to the Regal Sun Resort where we are staying, and I'm still undecided.

I've heard good and bad things about Mears based on reviews I've read elsewhere, so I thought I would ask for help from the experts here! The initial transfer from MCO to the hotel shouldn't be a big deal, but it's the return that I'm concerned about. We are flying in to MCO and out of it from two different locations, so we have different flight times. My departing flight leaves at around 11:00, but my friend doesn't have to leave until about 4:00, so a round trip with a town car might not be best unless she plans on being stranded at the airport for hours.

Another question that I have is about transportation from our hotel to the Cocoa Beach area?? Travel companion really wants to go, even if it's for an afternoon, and I know that our hotel has the Dollar rental car counter, but she is hesitant to drive (doesn't like to do it in new places). Any advice there?

We've used Mears once and wasn't a big fan of their service. Over the last few trips down as well as some business trips we've been using MH Transportation. Honestly, I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are very prompt and friendly. We also have used them for traveling off the resort to Seaworld and Universal. I've read that there are many good services out there, I am sure others will chime in with their own experiences. Good Luck
