Cab rate LAX to DLR?

I thought there was a basic flat rate ($45? $50?) from LAX to DLR?

SO is in a cab, he said the driver said he can only charge by the mile, and no one does a flat rate.

sorry for being the bearer of bad news but the flat rate is from LGB or SNA airports, not LAX.

Not sure but I'm sure it will be pricey. You might want to consider a shuttle instead.

Earlier this year my DH and I flew in from Hawaii and wanted to get to to DLR as fast as possible. We had just missed the bus so we hopped in a cab. It was Friday evening right at 5pm. We got there by 5:45.and it cost us, with tip $90.

Pricey, yes. But we were meeting our kids who had flown into LGB with my friend and we wanted to get there fast!

Driving, LAX is almost twice as far from DLR as Long Beach Airport is. (About 35 miles versus 19.) A taxi from LAX could run you upwards of $100, depending on traffic.

Yep- as for traffic, we lucked out- not sure how considering the day/time we took a cab. But we cruised right to DL. If we had traffic the rates would've been worse!!!
