Cab or Town Car -- which is cheaper?

Which is cheaper for getting from the Orlando Airport to the resorts -- cab or Town Car? Is there a cab stand at the airport? Anyone know how much a one way trip would cost? And how would I get from the hotel to the airport?

Renting a car is not an option.

Two years ago I used Tiffany Town Car and for about $100 it covered a trip from the airport to the Clarion hotel near Universal Studios, from the Clarion to Dixie Landings (now PO-Riverside) and finally Dixie Landings back to the airport. The price also included a stop at a grocery store. My guess is a taxi ride would probably cost almost the same, if not more, in a much smaller vehicle.

If you do a search on the DIS for "Tiffany Town car" and "taxi" you should get a long list discussion threads about this.

I would imagine that the towncars would be cheaper if you ran into a heavy traffic situation since taxis charge differently. My preference is to the towncar, the ride is more comfortable than a taxi ... just my opinion though ...

A cab form PBH at Universal one way to the airport cost $48.00 plus tip. It was hot, dirty and very uncomfortable. I would recommend the Town Car and plan to use one myself for a quick, budget trip in June.

A cab from MCO to Disney cost $50 + tip. It is cheaper to take a towncar. Plus the service is better.

we have used Tiffany Towncar on our last 2 trips and just love them. They pick us up at the baggage area in the airport and take us straight to our resort. On our last trip they even stopped at the store for us. This is the only way to go. It cost us $85.00 round trip and if you go to there website there is a $5.00 off coupon for first time users of there service.
