We are using the Magical Express to get to and from our resort, but what about usuing a cab for a grocery run off resort? Is any one company recomended - I know WDW likes to promote MEARS and I am fine with that, but is there anything els I should know. What is the best and closest market to go to? and what can I expect to pay? The delivery fees for water were a bit so I thought cab fare might be justified if I went myself... and I need other stuff too...

Thanks! :confused3

It would be cheaper (and easier) to use gardengrocer.com or wegoshop.com

Cab fares to/from a grocery store are likely to eat up all the savings as opposed to just paying the higher prices at the hotel's store.

The closest market is Goodings, but I wouldn't go there. Their prices are ridiculously high. Instead have the cab take you to Walmart, Winn-Dixie or Publix (whichever you prefer) which are slightly further away but have much better prices and selection.

Also, if you're just looking for snack items and soft drinks, the Hess stations near DTD and Boardwalk are easily reached on foot.
