Cab from park to hotel?

How much does it roughly cost to take a cab from any of the parks back to your hotel? Is this easy to do (who would call the cab)? Or can you only take a cab from a resort to someplace, rather than from a park? I understand the cost would vary, depending on which park to which hotel, but I'm curious about a rough estimate.

I'm asking because we have a flight home at 8:10 pm, and I guess we'll have to be picked up at our resort for ME about 5:00. I'm trying to get as much park time as possible on that last day. I may just end up taking the bus, but I know I'd have to allow a lot of extra time to plan for any delays. I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to maybe take a cab.

We are staying at POR, but I won't decide until we're there which park to visit that last day. We definitely won't just hang around the resort all day because this is a short trip, and we really want to maximize our time at the parks.

The cabs are usually around the lot where the buses are at DHS & Epcot. It's easy to grab one and it wouldn't cost more than $20. I would take the cab over the bus so you can have extra time. And yes ME will pick you up 3 hours before your flight, so 5:10 but you do need to be there 15 mins before, just in case.;)

How much time would you allow for the cab, or does it vary by a LOT of time depending on which park we visit that day?

:)Cab (waiting towncar actually :thumbsup2) from Swalphin to AKV-Kidani last May, $18 quickly no delays. Our car service always gets us 2-2.5 hours before flight. Drive is around 20-25 minutes to airport. DH doesn't like ME so we always get a car service for about $110 roundtrip and they are always on time for pick up from resort. We use Tiffany when we fly.

I wouldn't give myself indigestion worrying about buses and would take a cab for sure to get back in time. However we do love the buses and take them everywhere--just doesn't sound good when you are trying to get back for flight.

Epcot would be the quickest and cheapest cab ride.

At MK, you would need to get from the park to the TTC or Contemporary before getting a cab. From DHS or AK, the cab would be dealing with afternoon traffic on Buena Vista Drive.

Thanks to you all for all the info. I'm still not sure which way I'm leaning, but IF we decided to just take the Disney bus, would an hour be enough time to get back to POR? Of course, I know we would still need extra time to get our luggage out of storage.

I usually plan to be at the park closest to my hotel on the last day/afternoon of my trip. That way, the trip back is shorter and I can spend more time in the park, no matter how I'm getting back to the hotel.
