Cab From On-site Resort to DHS?

Need to be at DHS early for ADR on a Star Wars Weekend day.

Have a car but don't want to drive and want to avoid the bus from the resort if possible to save time (i.e. sleep in a bit longer that day & be able to enjoy the free drinks in our FW pkg).

Would a cab drop us near the front of the park where the buses do or would it be back near the HC parking?

Will we have to pay for parking (onsite + APs).

The taxi location at DHS is behind the HC parking, in the first row of the regular parking lot, across from the off-site buses. As for parking at the Disney parks, if you are staying on-site or have an AP, then parking is free.

If you go to Google maps and input "28.357924, -81.556373", you can see a yellow taxi cab waiting.

OP- Just curious as to why you don't want to drive? If you're going that early, you would get to park near the front (close to the entrance). We do it (drive early to DHS) on all our trips and it works fine.

I took that to mean the refillable mugs that come with a dining plan.

There may or may not be a taxi close by your resort entrance that early in the morning... you may want to call down to the bell stand to say you want a taxi in 15 minutes or so...

OP, DS and I did that for SWW in 2012. We were staying at BLT, went down for an early bus, gave it 5 minutes, then grabbed a cab outside CR. IIRC, he dropped us off fairly close to the gates (sorry, don't remember exactly where).

Those mugs only work at resorts, not the parks.
