Hi - we're headed to Fort Wilderness in October and camping so our best discount is through CAA (not eligible for alot of the promotions like free dining). My husband likes the dining plan and if we do a package we would consider doing it through CAA in order to get the extra benefits. I know that you get a diamond parking pass and ten per cent off at the World of Disney but can anyone tell me what the other perks are?
Thanks!
Mo

What does a diamond parking pass give you? If you stay onsite parking is free, so I would love to know what more the diamond pass gives you.

You get to park in the diamond parking lot (provided it's not full) and it's closer to the main gates of the park.

I'll read you what we got in our AAA (from CAA) vacation package. We travelled earlier this month, stayed at POP and got the free dining promotion, just for background.

The package included:
Magical Express transfers
decorative luggage tags
100 Play Points for the resort arcade
10% off Bass Fishing Excursions
1 round of minigolf for 1 guest
30 extra minutes of watercraft rental with the purchase of 60 minutes
15% off spa treatment
AAA special parade viewing area
Planet Hollywood souvenir and $15 meal voucher
10% off Sammy Duvall water sports
Admission to AAA Story Time Experience
AAA Diamond Card with 10%-20% off various dining, recreation, spa, merchandise and Disney Tour opportunities

We didn't use most of these promotional items, but since they printed my name and dates of my vacation on all the vouchers and the parking pass they are totally non-transferrable now!

Also keep in mind that these promotional things come with the vacation package but you don't pay extra for them so I don't feel bad if I don't use them.

The majority of these listed come as a standard Magic Your Way Disney package. The only perks that are CAA/AAA related are:

AAA special parade viewing area
Admission to AAA Story Time Experience
AAA Diamond Card with 10%-20% off various dining, recreation, spa, merchandise and Disney Tour opportunities

I also received a lanyard (Blue with CAA in white lettering) to hold my Key to the World card.

I was happy to see the disconunts on some of the restaurants like Earle of Sandwich and I think there is a discount for purchases at World of Disney and other stores.

Its a separate area, as far as I can remember they are all relatively close to the Handicap Parking areas. The best ones for actually being close to the front gates are DS and Epcot. MK is not too bad to the TTC but AK is the worst for a walk. Better off parking in the normal area and taking a tram.
Epcot and MK are very well marked on the pavement from the toll booths, AK and DS not so much. We had to ask parking cast members where to go.

I'm not familiar with campground booking, but from my experience, CAA knows next to nothing about WDW booking. I got a quote from them once, and it was higher then the one from WDW. CAA tends to use secondary vacation sellers.

So if I were to use a TA for booking any WDW trip, I'd use an on line WDW specialized TA.

I have heard too many horror stories with CAA and other non-specalized Disney TA's. Thankfully I found out there are TA's that specalize in Disney trips and nothing else before we booked our first trip.

Even though I now know how to do the bookings myself, I'll still go through our Disney TA. She was able to get 2 more days added to our trip even though Disney's website and Reservation CMs insisted there was no room left when I tried checking!

Had friends that used the CAA/AAA parking pass. 90% of the time we passed them on the tram as they were walking. Was funny watching them walk in the heat after they kept showing us the pass :)
