CA Grill menu changes : (

Thanks for the update KristenHoneymooner! :thumbsup2

That is the news I was hoping to hear. Sushi was a big part of the reason that I booked CA Grill (vs. the other signature restaurants) because DBF and I are huge sushi fans. I'm glad to know that we *should* be able to order sushi as an appetizer with our DDP credits...and still be able to order some of those fabulous entrees.

Does any one have the direct number to this restaurant?

I guess I am going to have to call them and ask about the five cheese platter. DH is saying that if they do not offer it then we should cancel and use our four credits some place else.

I just found the number: 407-824-1576

I just called and asked if the 5 Cheese platter on the dining plan is considered an appetizer or an entree.

She put me on hold and came back and said it is either an appetizer or a dessert.

So to me that is the same as when we went in May. :cool1:

Hurray it means we can get the cheese platter and an entree!:woohoo:

and the cheese plate was not listed on the regular menu and when I asked, yes indeed it could be an appy and yes, I got it and it was devine! Hope that helps!

Just there Sunday night.

All sushi could be ordered as an appetizer except for the Snake in the Grass and Yoshi's Deluxe Sushi Platter. They were considered entrees.

Cheese board (price now $17) could be ordered as either an appetizer or dessert.

The buffalo steak was good!

Thanks so much! Your first-hand account really put my fears to rest.

Ate at CG last Friday night and had the Hurricane Roll (DELISH!!) and a Rainbow Roll for appys. Did not ask about the cheese board, but I see that I could have had it for an appy as well. At first our server said we could have ANY sushi as an appy but then came back to the table and told us that Snake and Yoshi's were excluded.

We also ate there Sun. night (in the wine room, fabulous!) We were also told Snake in the Grass and Yoshi's were considered entrees, I didn't ask about the cheese platter. We also had the Hurricane Roll, yummy! Spicy Sensation too, which is still our hands down favorite sushi in the world! :thumbsup2

mine was Yellowfin Tuna Three Ways. Almost too pretty to eat.

I was not in the wine room, had a view of the Polynesian and TTC.

Ate at CA Grill on Thursday, 8/30 and I can confirm that sushi was considered an appetizer, with the exclusion of the snake in the grass and yoshi's deluxe. Also, the cheese platter could be either an appetizer or dessert (or both, if you choose to order one as your appetizer and one as your dessert, I think).

I think those were the only restrictions.

Personally, I was very disappointed in the sushi. I have a sushi-eating family and the rolls we got were not very high quality, very soggy/mushy, and not the freshest of fish. I had heard so much raving about how good the sushi was there, so maybe I had too high of expectations, but I wouldn't go back for the sushi. I'd go back for the atmosphere and the service, but IMO the food was not that spectacular. Has the chef changed recently????

It was our first time in the wine room and we loved it! Just a few tables there so it was quieter, and it has a lovely view of WL. We still walked out on the catwalk on the MK side for the view there.
I have seen the tuna dish...it's on my to try list!
