Does anyone know where we can get C-Pap machines delivered to the hotel? My DH and I both have sleep apnea and use them at night. With flying it would be difficult to bring them with us, especially with us needing 2 of them. I would be afraid of damage if I check them and I think it would be difficult to carry them on, with security, etc. We hope to be able to rent them or however that works. We use American HomePatient here in NY and I know they have other branches but it dodn't look like there were any near WDW, Unless I am mistaken looks like closest is Tampa? I clicked on the link in the FAQ for CareMedical but didn't get anywhere with that. TIA for your help!

We carry them on usually. They do not count towards your carry on limit.
No problem going through security - just flew over the holidays.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has procedures for medical equipment. If you click on the link to the disABILITIES FAQs thread in my signature, you will find one post on that thread us about air travel. That includes some links, including to the TSA website where you can see what to expect. As was mentioned, if you bring th you should carry them on and they will not count toward your carry on allowance.

If you choose not to bring them on, contact your current supplier and ask for their help. They may have an agreement with an Orlando area supplier or may arrange for the things to be sent from Tampa. They should be able to help you though.

I don't know if they have c-PAP machines, but we did rent an Oxygen Concentrator for my mom from CARE Medical. They rent & deliver to your hotel. Care Medical Equipment They were very nice & answered all sorts of questions we had. They even have referrel companies they can tell you about if there's something you need that they don't carry.

I fly 100,000 miles a year and always take my C-PAP on board with me. TSA checks them just like a laptop take them out of the carrier and place them in a tray. Does not count as a carry on. Hope this helps.

I agree, I carry mine on all the time. I guess it depends how old your machine is--mine is about a year old and the case is about the same size as a laptop case (only a tiny bit thicker, and it also holds the hose, mask, power cord, etc.), but I can see how if you had the old "tank" style kind, it would be hard to carry around.
