If anyone should be sued it should probably be the parents.
First, like many have stated, at Cosmic Rays you get the cheese yourself, it's not served unless a menu item has it. The only thing I can think of chili cheese fries or something like that. Second, the child is 4 and I would think the parents would be ordering for him from the Kids menu. I'm aware there might be kiddies with a bigger appetite so they may have ordered an adult meal.
.
Even if by some crazy event he was served a gallon of nacho cheese sauce what parent doesn't blow on it first?? I don't have kids, but I have many baby cousins and anytime I'm supervising them I check what goes into their mouth. And if it's something hot I blow on it first. (we call it "foofing" but I didn't want to sound crazy lolol)
I sincerely hope the little boy gets well soon and isn't in any pain. But I think
the fault lies with his parents. And I'd be severely embarrassed to admit that I wasn't aware nacho cheese sauce would be hot.
Edit: read an article about how it happened. Apparently the child was trying to steady him while in an unsteady chair and pulled the tray and the cheese splashed his face. My comments about feeding him cheese make no sense now if this story is how it happened. Either way it was an accident, and still I don't think a lawsuit is necessary.
