Well, those of you flying in the next few months, if you are on Virgin Atlantic's G-VAST code name Ladybird, say a fond farewell, as she is soon to go to the airplane heaven, better known as the Mojave desert.

Two A340-600's are also going into storage, G-VATL, Miss Kitty and G-VGOA Indian princess are heading for a D service (end of line service) at the same time.

One thing is that Ladybird is fitted with Odyessy IFE, so thats more chance of getting the 8 film NOVA than Odyssey's 10 films :-(

Nothing at the moment.
The reduction in services mans a reductin in planes required.
Some of the manchester-Barbados/St Lucia flights might be handled with the smaller Airbus A340-600's left in the fleet, but its amazing that the eldest two A340-600's, just five years old, are being put out to grass.

That's a shame.

I have only ever had Odyessy IFE on a virgin flight, though granted only been on 4 flights.

We flew out on Ladybird on the 4th August, it was really nice with the computer games, shame they are getting rid of it

we were going out on ladybird last sept but we were taken off the plane as the breaks were'nt working we were delayed 5 hours
