Hi.

Is there a section I can request for a partial BW view if I have a one bedroom pool/garden view booked. There is one last night missing from a BW view and had to book Pool/Garden.

Just booked yesterday for September 15 since the crowds are so low but was so happy to get BW one bedroom at a week and a half.

Thanks so much!

I don't think you can get one. I think all the Village Green villas are studios, not one bedrooms.

Dang. Yes, Village Green. Oh well. Thanks anyway.

Actually, I believe there is on each floor a single one-bedroom that is Village Green. It's the last room before the corner turns to a true Boardwalk view. We had it once and ended up liking it. The balcony is covered by the corner of the building but the view is nice. So, you might as well request Village Green - you might be lucky!

I thought the Village Green rooms were standard view. Can someone let me know? I'd like to try for one on my next trip so I need to book the right category.

No, standard view is along the front of the resort looking towards the parking lot.

Got it, thanks. I hate to waste points on Pool/Garden view though. I think I'll stick with my BW view. It makes me happy.

Thank you all. Love BW view too but we just booked Friday for September 15-20 so I took what I could get lol

I will request Village Green and see what happens.

Nothing like a BW view! Love seeing spaceship earth light up at night and looking out on the lake. The view is the best!

Yes they are dedicated 1brs. I have gotten this room as a booked BW view in 2007 and last summer I booked standard 1br and received it again. That time I forgot to check in until we were on the bus so that was luck. I truly think they use these as "swing rooms".

Yes, we got it a number of years ago when we had booked BW view. We complained when we arrived but they couldn't move us until the next day, and by then we had decided we liked it and didn't want to move! Unfortunately, they were painting the outside of the building right then, so we didn't get to enjoy the balcony. I'd love to try again for that room!

I think you may have hit the nail - We had a BW view studio booked, when they informed us that we had gotten some ^pixie dust*. I asked if it was BW view & was told, "No", and we responded that we would prefer a studio with BW view. They asked us to just look at it, since our booked room was unavailable, and........:Pinkbounc:bounce::banana:
the balcony was ENORMOUS, and the view absolutely gorgeous :cloud9: The studio to 1 bdrm upgrade was just icing.

Were you on the 3rd floor overlooking the green? I'm hoping to get a studio there for spring break.

Nice luck!

The 5th floor 1br (5051) only has one balcony and it is minuscule and not covered so useless if raining.

I believe it was the second (2051), as I recall the balconies above us were smaller. Unfortunately, the studios don't have as much of a view of the BW as the 1 bdrms on the end block some of the view. BUT those are the best view of all the Pool/Garden views, imho. Watching the Village Green is so lovely!

Nice luck!

Ouch :sad1: They should keep the upper floors as P/G view then.
That was our first upgrade in 20 years of DVC, and coincidently, my nephew happened to be joining my daughter & I for part of the trip - the timing was incredibly PERFECT!
Although rather expensive: we wound up buying 3 more contracts (decided 12-13 nights at a time is nicer in a 1 bdrm, even with just 2 people :o ).
