BWVs One Bedroom in September

Hi.

Besides Covid is there any reason why I see so much availabilty for BWVs one bedroom for this month? Is there anything I should know or happening beside Covid. For instance, Poly may be under construction is that correct?

Is the Clown Pool open?

No monorails to Epcot for all DVC I just read so guessing that is correct but BW would give us the ability to walk to two parks so thinking this may be a better choice, would all agree?

It is a COVID issue. Many members are cancelling reservations. BWV 1BRs often last past 7 months out during summer but rarely is one open a month out. But from what I have been seeing, what is going on now Is not a single type room issue. Many categories of rooms at the various resorts, even some rooms usually unavailable at 7 months out have been opening up in Sep, and for a while now Oct and now even Nov and some in Dec, and the progression is likely to continue.

One reason I can think of is that one bedrooms aren't too popular with lots of people. You pay twice as many points as a studio, yet the capacity is either the same, or in some cases is actually less. I recently reserved a VGF lake view 1 bedroom for January at 6 months out because I've never been able to get or successfully WL a studio there.

People are scared. Some people can’t go. New York State can go they have a 14 day Mandatory quarantine when they get back. New Jersey has a 14 day advisory Quarantine when you get back. New York and New Jersey at one time don’t know if they are still but was number 2 and number 3 for dvc members. Florida is or was number one. Than all the other countries I don’t think you can come here or has a 14 day quarantine. So it comes down to people are scared and people can’t come.
I was supposed to be in universal right now beginning of the week wdw but wife was scared.
we went to Disney Hilton head instead.

Thank you all. We booked a one bedroom pool/garden view beginning September 15. BW view is missing the last night and so is RIV and have WLs for both.
