BWV VS Wilderness Lodge?

Spending Christmas 2006 in Disney. Anyone have experience at both the Wilderness Lodge DVC Villa's and Boardwalk Villa's? I realize the location (and the price) at the BWV are better, but I really have a real attraction to the Wilderness Lodge. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion.

I have never stayed at the BWV..although first time will be this December..can't wait. But I can tell you that the lodge is absolutely beautiful. Last year it was decorated for Christmas and it took our breath away. My 4 year old was stunned the morning she woke up to the 50 foot tree in the lobby. I can not describe how warm and homey the place was.

I also found the lodge to be not as busy as some of the other resorts...due to the fact that it is a smaller resort.

I think either way you decide you can not lose....

Unless you have BWV points to get your reservation at the 11 month mark, there probably won't be a difference in the number of points required for the stay. Standard views go very quickly at that time of year and a member with BWV as their home would have that 11 month advantage.

We own and both and love both. When staying over the holidays, I'd definitely pick VWL. GREAT holiday atmosphere!

Thank you for your reply's. I have stayed at the YC so I understand the value of the location of the Boardwalk. But the Wilderness Lodge does something for me though. I just need to weight all of the pro's and con's. The Wilderness Lodge doesn't seem as convenient is my biggest issue.
