Hello, any impressions when comparing beach club villas with boardwalk villas? We stayed in the Yacht and beach club a few years back but now that the kids are older we're thinking that BW might be a nice choice, given close walking distance to Epcot/etc. Thanks

BCV is a closer walk to Epcot than BWV; BVW is a closer walk to DHS. Neither are that much of a difference regarding distance and wouldn't be a factor in making my decision.

I own at BCV. My top reasons for preferring BCV are 1) the pools, 2) the dedicated 2 bedrooms with the 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom 3) the marketplace that is convenient.

My biggest complaint about BCV would be the views from the balconies.

I prefer the Boardwalk over the BC or Yacht club because the young adults in my family love the ESPN club for sports . I like the views so much better and like the feel of the resort much better. It is hard to tell what will appeal to your kids but we go every third year with a huge crowd and everyone prefers the BW so at least my group likes it alot.

We prefer the Boardwalk. The views are much nicer and I love the theme. Even though BC is closer to Epcot, we would still rather take the boat. Epcot is the first stop after boarding at BW and the first stop on the way back. It's very convenient.

I don't like the views at BC. I also get the feeling that the DVC wing at BC was 'squoze' into the parking lot. BW feels more planned and I think it flows nicer.

The BC has a better pool, but my kids are older now and don't swim as much.

Hope that helps!!

We like both, if you don't care about the pool then it is a toss up. We love that BCV because it is tucked in and private, where the BW is alot busier. So its really what you are looking for. Both are close enough that walking from BCV to the Boardwalk in the evening to enjoy the entertainment is pretty easy. If the kids are older, the BW is nice because they can be on the boardwalk with out being to far from your room. I guess it would depend on how old the kids are and the type of atmosphere you are looking for. No matter what you decide they are both great resorts.

We prefer BCV over BWV because we always drive and parking at the BWV is rotten to us. Parking at the BCV is right next to the villas, so it is easy to load and unload our car. Plus we'll take our car to AK and the water parks and it's just easier to get to.

And we like the BCV is a little quieter over the BWV.

I love both but prefer the BWV with Boardwalk View. BCV doesn't always have very attractive views.

I prefer the Boardwalk because it feels integral to the resort. I don't like the tacked on feeling at BCV. And we like Standard View points and the Boardwalk View. But each resort has, as you can see, its fans.

Note that its quite possible either or both will be booked completely by owners by the time the seven month window opens for non-owners - particularly from October through December.

We own at BW and love it, but our children are now young adults so the nightlife on the Boardwalk is important. If you suffer from coulrophobia, you will want to stay away from the Boardwalk pool.
