I stayed one night at BWV last week before switching over to BCV-specifically so that I could see the comparison. So which did I like better? BCV! Does that mean I think BCV is better and so all you BWV owners can write me nasty messages? Absolutely not! I just love the theming-for me,"sand under my toes" is great. Here's my thoughts on the comparison objectively (I hope it's objective):
1. Both Front Desks had very friendly CMs and lots of "Welcome Homes"
2. I liked my view from BWV better (even though my BCV view was deemed "great" by some, I found the service road annoying over there)
3. Although I had excellent housekeeping at both places, the plumbing was better at BCV
4. The water pressure at BWV was a little stronger
5. At BWV, the bathroom fan was tied into the light so that whenever you turned on the bathroom light, the fan went on. At BCV, they were 2 different switches. At BWV this is a little annoying if you like to leave the bathroom light on all night to serve as a night light.
6. At BWV, my studio didn't have a coffee table in front of the couch. I even called housekeeping to ask where my coffee table went. Apparently there isn't one. So you have a big empty space there. OK if you use the fold out couch, but I like to put my feet up and drink my coffee on the couch-not convenient to do that at BWV.
7. BWV studios had a little mirror and shelf just as you come in (remember OKW had that, too)-I liked that. Great place to put your keys.
8. When you get off the elevator at BWV, you're either right in the busy lobby or on the first floor which isn't the best to see. I liked that the first floor of BCV opened onto that pretty tree and nice little lobby.
9. More quiet nooks for reading (Solarium, Drawing Room, Breezeway) for reading at BCV
10. I liked the panel electric wall switches at BWV better than the regular ones at BCV. It would seem (although I don't have little children) that those panels would make it easier for little, less-coordinated fingers to turn on/off lights
Hope this comparison helps someone, and like I said, I hope it was fairly objective.
