Hello,

Im thinking about a BW Studio stay in July (renting), and I'm confused about the views. Is Preferred the same as Boardwalk view?? The categories are Standard and Preferred, right?? Help! :earboy2:

Actually there are 3 views. Standard, Preferred pool/garden and Preferred boardwalk. The preferred view was split in two over a year ago, same amount of points for each but you know what you are getting upfront. Boardwalk views can be hard to get, they are only about 20% of the resort, as is standard view, leaving about 60% preferred pool/garden.

Booking this late there is very little chance there will be a BW View available.

Or a standard view for that matter. Both go quickly.

When I stayed at the boardwalk I had an awesome view! We had a studio, on the 3rd floor I believe, and it was at the end of the hall. We had a view of the quiet pool, the canal & we could see the top of tower of terror from our balcony. I wish I could remember the room # for you. Any room high up with a view of quiet pool would be good in my opinion. Good luck

Last Easter we had a preferred pool/garden view but I requested upper floor Village Green View and that's what we got- Studio Room 5065- Beautiful view of the Village Green, Boardwalk, Crescent Lake with Beach Club across the way, and Epcot w/Fireworks at night! Lovely!

Oh ok, thanks everyone :) How far in advance is booking recommended? (for future reference)

For standard view or BW View, as soon as you can once the window opens. Depends on the time of year....I booked one of the last standard view rooms over food and wine booking all at once the last day of my seven day eleven month window.

Sometimes people get lucky and these rooms are available at seven months to non-BWV owners. Or even occationally six or five. But if you really want the view, you need to plan ahead.

I will say that we stayed at the BWV a while ago, had a standard view which gave us a view of the front entrance. I actually liked watching all the comings and goings, and the lights at night were lovely.
