Hi All,

Planning for our August 18th arrival to a 2 Bedroom Villa, Preferred View. I would like reccomendations for room requests from "those in the know". :thumbsup2
I definitely do not want to be looking at cars/lots, and would like the most peaceful/pretty view possible. ( I don't think I want to look at the clown for a week.)
I'd appreciate your suggestions. :) (Area/High Floor/Low Floor)
Also, I was reading on trip advisor about a room that viewed the MGM fireworks. Anyone have any information on that?

Thanks for your help!

The villas that have the best view of Fantasmic are the standard view villas. The best view of fireworks from BWV is Illuminations. It is incredible, they are almost literally in your face! It is really magical. From boardwalk view villas you will have a view of MK fireworks right over YC/BC, and also MGm fireworks; but they are not nearly as close up as Illuminations. But they are very still nice. The Epcot resorts have a very good viewing, of all the nighttime fireworks, from all the parks. Some views are better than others, but if you want to see many of the fireworks from all the parks, an Epcot resort is where you want to be. Naturally some views are closer, better, etc., depending on Epcot resort location, room location, etc.
Have a great trip!

If you want to see the MGM Fantasmic fireworks, you can watch them from the benches near the luna pool entrance if you don't get a room with a view.

Also, with a PV room, I would request one facing the green courtyard on the 4th or 5th floor. They are closer to the elevators. You would be able to see the fireworks from Illuminations. It's not as noisy as being on the boardwalk, but you'll be able to see 1/2 of it and the lagoon looking out towards the Y&BC. Well, you may end up hearing the "whistle guy" in the early evening!

We were able to view the MGM fireworks from a standard view room facing the tennis courts. You don't say whether you are in a preferred view facing Boardwalk, but from that location you would see the Epcot fireworks. Enjoy! We'll be there on the same date, standard studio. (21 days)

Thanks for your helpful responses. :)
What is the green courytard? Is it just a lovely garden vew? Also, Can I request a view of this area, but not near elevators?

One time when we stayed at BWI we had a room near an elevator...It was loud!

The village green / courtyard view--it is referred to as both. Is the area between BWI/BWV; it's the area where the steps from the front staricase/bus stop leads to. It is a very, very nice area/view from BWVs.
IMO, these DVC villas have the 2nd best view at BWV, after boardwalk view villas.
The Village Green villas are not right next to elevaor. Upon exiting the elevator you will find yourself in a very, very nice common area , with quite pleasant seating areas. The village green villas, are the the first villas after the elevator seating area, on the boardwalk side of the building.
Have a great trip!!

So The village green area is the same as the courtyard area, if I am understanding this correctly.

I'd rather look at nature than activity, so I am guessing this is not the place for us.

I'm hoping for a peaceful/serene view of gardens, no parking lots/people/boardwalk.

Is this possible at the BWV?

if you have preferred view you will not see cars or the lot. PV will be the waterway with S/D view, quiet pool , luna pool (clown), or courtyard. If your ressie says preferred BWview you will be on the BW facing the lake and YC/BC lots of activity.

you want quiet ask for PV down by MGM, then you can go out the side entrance and walk to MGM (12) mins

just remember requests are just that (request) don't set yourself up for disapointment.

we own BWV and any room (except handicap) is OK with us.

if you really want peace and quiet try OKW you will love it.

Thanks! We are actually going to be staying two nights at OKW after our BWV stay. I love the idea of being near the action at BWV, but I just do not want to be on top of it.

Thanks again! :sunny:
