Okay we are in a very convoluted situation and I need advice. When we started buying DVC in 2013 we put it all in DH's name and financed. As we have paid off the contracts we have moved them into joint ownership between our DD, DH and myself. The joint membership is all at VGF and that has worked fine we just transfer the few remaining VGF points in his individual account every year to the joint account before booking and then use the PVB or CCV in the individual member to book alternating years though his membership. This has worked well especially since they were different resorts. Fast forward we have Thanksgiving 2026 booked at CCV with our banked 2025 points, our 2026 points and borrowed 21, 2027 points. Well we decided we want to do a small add on at CCV and we want it to be in the the joint membership instead of DH's individual membership, however I have three different years worth of points ties up in a reservation that I now need to move to the other membership. So here are my questions:
- If I call member services can I cancel the current reservation and transfer all the points from DH's individual membership to the joint membership or am I blocked on transferring the banked and borrowed points?
- If I can transfer them all do I need to also transfer the VGF points at the same time for 2027 since I am transferring borrowed 2027 points from the CCV contract and you only get 1 transfer in or out per year?
- Since this all seems beyond confusing to me would it make my life easier if I just transferred all the points each year from the individual membership to the joint membership?
- FInally if I do transfer all the points each year would I be able to bank and borrow those transferred points or does transferring stop the ability to bank and borrow?
