DW and i just spent thanksgiving week at BWV - and last week i posted my trip report - part I talking mostly about the room, the decor, and the resort in general. i wanted to follow-up with a whirlwind report on the rest of our trip...
1. the Osborne Family Spectacle of DANCING Lights was phenomenal - a can't miss holiday attraction. we walked to MGM 3 different nights just to see them.
2. the new 'Finding Nemo - the Musical' show at AK was GREAT! i was a little skeptical when the 2 performers initially came out holding puppets for Nemo and his dad...but the performers were very talented and entertaining.
3. saw TONS of dream fast passes around all the parks.....saw several dream teams hanging out, looking for folks to surprise.....but we weren't lucky enough to be chosen OR to see anyone being chosen all week.
4. did the 'Behind the Seeds' tour for the first time at the Land at epcot...mostly DW's idea - but it was actually very cool - i highly recommend it (only $10 w/DVC discount...pay at the counter near Soarin')
5. crowds from thanksgiving thursday through saturday were nearly unbearable. longest wait i saw was 150 mins for Soarin'. but monday and tuesday of the following week were awesome! no lines...no waiting. rode everest 4 times before noon on monday, and rode rockin' roller coaster and tower of terror 4 times each that afternoon / evening.
6. MVMCP....a MUST DO! another 1st for DW and i, and we loved it. the holiday parade really puts you in the holiday spirit. less than 5 min lines for every attraction in the park for 5 solid hours. and who can argue with as many free cookies and hot chocolates as your heart desires? walt was right...WDW is the place where dreams really DO come true!
