BWV transportation review (last week)

I did take the bus there:eek: I read your post and honestly I didn't think you were giving yourself enough time. Just to be on the safe side I would leave earlier and plan to do something in the park before dinner. I hate that stress of trying to be on time for a PS. Things could work out just fine but why stress over it??

Good luck, I'm sending pixie dust!!*~*~*~*princess:*~*~*~*

So you think getting to BWV bus stop at 3:30 - 3:45 is NOT enough time to make our 5:15p PS at MK? Wow, then things are really bad at the BWV in regards to buses. That's 1 hour and 45 minutes before my PS!!!

Maybe I should drive to TTC and take the monorail in? If we got to the TTC by 4:15 or 4:30 we should be ok?

I sure wish there was a DVC on the monorail! That would solve all my problems!;)

fyi...

There is a similar thread on how bad bus service is at the BWV on the DVC board

Here's a link: BWV Transporation issues...

She said she waited 53 minutes at 8:15a for a bus to MK on a Saturday!!

Then she said she waited 71 minutes for a bus at MK to head back to BWV at 3:15p!!!

She said she had to wait for 3 buses to DTD before she could fit on one.

I'm sorry but these examples are unacceptable. I can see why she is so upset.

I haven't even stayed at the BWV yet (my home resort) and I'm dreading this issue on our December trip. Thankfully, we'll have a car that will help us out a lot.

It is sad when you do not use your own resort buses. We gave up a year and a half ago. We always walk to the Swan and get on from there. We have never waited more than 15 minutes and it is the first stop so you are almost always guaranteed a seat!

I have to say that so far, our experience has been that POR gave us the best bus service. We very seldom waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. We did stay at the Polynesian last August and I was dreading using the buses based on these boards. However, it really wasn't too bad. We did take a bus to BWI from MK just to check it out. On the trip back, we stopped only at Y/B Clubs. I never saw Swan or Dolphin. Now that we have BWV as our home resort, I'm hoping it won't be too bad. If it is, then we'll just amble on over to the Swan.
Now, we're staying at AllStarMusic next month. I just can't wait to see what happens there with the buses!!
Hi Tyler. We wanted to stay at Pop Century and get to meet ya, but our trip starts too soon. Maybe we'll ride on over to check out the decor and maybe run into you. Have a great last few days in those "purple pants"!!!!!

beattyfamily,

The worst posts you read are about bus service during EE and the parties (MNSSHP&MVMCP), so that is why I said I wouldn't chance it. You might be just fine at 3:30 but I am sorry if it were me I wouldn't leave at 3:45 JMHO. Also, not to be all gloom and doom but alot of the locals drive in for the parties and we got stuck in traffic trying to drive in. I am really wishing you good luck:D

Starting for this years Halloween Party, we've started staging floater buses out of Blizzard Beach. From there, they are dispatched to handle the additional inbound crowds to the MK. From what I am to hear, it's been working out very well.
