Next trip will be my first with a car...suddenly realized we have no monorail transportation planned. Can't not ride the monorail at least once!

Does this sound like an insane way to get to dinner at the California Grill? from BWV, drive to Epcot parking lot, take monorail to the TTC, transfer to resort monorail and then from there to the Contemporary.

Since I've never driven down there, can someone give me the basic directions from the Boardwalk to the parking lot at Epcot.

Is an hour a good amount of time door to door (Boardwalk to Contemporary) if we go with that plan?

Hello from a fellow New Englander!

We're having dinner at the Californina Grill - on Thursday  - and are staying at the Dolphin. Here's what we plan to do.

We're going to take the bus from the hotel to MK and then ride the monorail to the Contemporary. We may also take a loop or two around the resorts after dinner.

You could do the same taking the bus from the Boardwalk - not have to worry about driving and parking at all but still get to ride the monorail.

Insane - maybe, maybe not. What time is your ADR? If it seems you will be leaving the CR after 11pm, the Epcot monorail could be shut down for the night. If MK is already closed, the only way to get back to your car is by taxi.

If you still want to do it this way, 60 minutes could be tight. I would figure on at least 75 minutes.

Hmm, Ok. Not sounding like a great plan. Our ADR is for 7:30 so I guess we would be out of there by 10 pm. Perhaps we will try the bus/MK plan (hi new englander :) !)
