BWV to Downtown Disney?

How far is it from BWV to Downtown Disney and what is the best way to get there? We probably won't be arriving at the resort until about 8:30PM and will be looking for somewhere to eat. Maybe it would be better to find somewhere on the Boardwalk. I was originally thinking about the brewery but the reviews are all saying the service is really slow and that we don't need that late at night.

We enjoy the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk
While there's frequently a line for the dining room, often times there are tables in the bar you can sit at. One foot long hotdog would feed two kids and when the 3 of us order caesar salad and nachos to share, we can't finish it. It's a little loud, but usually service is pretty quick. Is the day you arrive a big game day?

YOu can also just get a pizza from the window and eat on the BW.

Or check out options at the Swan and Dolphin. There are some casual restaurants there.

If I arrived at 8:30 and needed to eat, my last choice would be to take a bus to DTD.

Between BC, YC, Swan, Dolphin and BW, there's probably more restaurants in walking distance than if you went to DTD
