BWV studio room location

Hello, I am going to BWV studio, and I have never stayed at Boardwalk. Does anyone have any suggestions how to request a nice room location. I am preferred view. Thanks for your input. Also, is there a difference between rooms for DVC members and nonmembers? twinme

Did you reserve through CRO or DVC? I believe if you reserve through CRO it could be anywhere in the resort. DVC breaks reservations down into 3 views - standard (front driveway), preferred garden/pool (over main or quiet pool or garden) and preferred boardwalk (boardwalk views).

I rented points through the DVC board from a very nice member, and have a garden,pool view. I am not sure if I can contact member services directly for request, also don't want to cause any problem for the owner. Am I allowed to change my room if I don't like it when I arrive. As long as I stay in the same category? I have recieved my confirmation from Disney. Thanks for your response, and help. Twinme

We just go back from the Boardwalk...stayed in room 5050, preferred view studio villa. It was very nice...view from the balcony was over the main pool and the canal to MGM. We were 10 rooms from the elevator...and seemed close to everything, the lobby, the boardwalk, the friendship ferries, and the bus. We requested a water view (but not boardwalk view) close to the elevators. the room was perfect and I had no complaints about anything. Just go back last night...wish I was there now!!!! We too, rented from a DVC member, and everything went without a hitch. I can see, though, how requesting a room close to an elevator is important! Have fun! (If you are going soon, the heater in the pool is broken...very cold! but we still went swimming...with no complaints!)

I think there may be a charge to change rooms??? I am not sure??? experts....can we change rooms if we are unhappy?

If you ask to change just because you don't like the location, they charge $25 for a studio (recleaning fee).

Two exceptionally good views in the preferred view category are the Village Green villas and the villas overlooking the quiet pool. The Village Green villas overlook the large grass area between the staircases and the boardwalk and also have a very nice view of the boardwalk, boat docks, etc to the left. The quiet pool view villas obviously overlook the quiet pool, the Community Hall and the waterway to MGM. These rooms are very quiet with a very nice relaxing view. The quiet pool also has a very nice hot tub for the adults. The quiet pool and hot tub are hardly ever crowded since most people go to the main pool. There are barbeque grills located at the quiet pool also if you want to do lunch or dinner by the pool. The grills require charcoal brickettes.
