BWV Studio question?

I currently have reservations for the AKL in August, and I'm seriously considering switching to a studio at the BWV, since it is only an additional $60 for the week. Anyhow, since I'll be paying cash for the reservation, will I be able to pick my location (standard/preferred/Boardwal view, etc.), or am I just assigned whatever is available? Thanks!

Chances are that it won't be a standard or a Boardwalk view because those are usually reserved by DVC members far in advance of when rooms are available to the general public. You most likely will get something facing the pool or the waterway, which is considered preferred.
