Hi! My husband and I are staying at BWV for the first time in Sept. Any suggestions as to what to request for a preferred view studio?

Thanks!!
Nancy

It's totally up to you, but I would not waste the points on a prefer
view. I am not in the room much, going to WDW from 8am till 9-11 pm, so I don't feel it is worth the points.
HOWEVER, if you feel it is worth it, go for it, and get the Boardwalk!
Either way, you won't regret the BWV, been there 2 times with 40 more years to go.........
deerh:)

We always opt for the "Prefered View". Quite a few of the rooms on the Boardwalk side
give you a good view of the fireworks during "Illuminations" at Epcot.
Also, I like to get up early, sit on the balcony and read the paper. It's quite a relaxing time
with a great view of the lagoon and Beach Club.
If you opt for the "standard view" you may end up with a view of the parking lot.
I would agree that if you are planning to be constantly on the go, it would be a waste
to have the prefered view.

I am a member of BWV too, and there's nothing better than a boardwalk view, regardless of the floor. For us, starting the day with coffee and the paper on our balcony is the main reason that we go to Disney twice per year. There's nothing better. I have had standard views, and it's just not the same! Of course, I am not spending my day over at Epcot, either, so the view from my room is more important than it might be to some other people. If I were going to spend my whole day every day at one of the Disney parks, I wouldn't even bother to stay on site because I would never be in my room. That's not my preference, though, and last month when we were in Florida we only went to the parks twice in our 8 day vacation because there are just so many other things to do. I think the resorts are like another park--they are just as much fun! If you think the boardwalk might be a bit too noisy in the evening, then a view overlooking the pools is quieter, and very nice, too. Last year I overlooked the Tower of Terror, and on the top floor you can see most of Fantasmic, so that's fun. I guess it's your preference, but if you spend a fair amount of time in your room, go for preferred view.

LUNA POOL

We request a room by the Luna Pool. We have 2 DDs that love to look out on the pool as soon as they get up in the morning. They are a bit frightened by the fireworks that you would see from the Boardwalk.

What week in September are you going?
check the member web site. It lists renovations that are going on.
May 7 through September 5-The lobby area will be under enhancement, including the porte cochere.
Luna Park Pool will be closed from September 10 through September 28.
Exterior renovation of Disney's BoardWalk Villas will begin on September 11 near Jellyrolls and will continue along the boardwalk to the Village Green.

I wouldn't want a luna park pool view during the time they are doing renovations on it. I also wouldn't want a BW view if your going while they are doing the renovations there.

Thanks for all the advice! We're actually renting the points (and thinking about buying!) and the preferred view was all that was available. But, it was still a great deal for us! We'll be there Sept. 16-22. I'll have to think about what to request--maybe a boardwalk view away from the construction. :)

WE will be at BWV 10/2&3. I see that pool renovations are due to be over by 9/28. Anyone know what their success rate of completing renovations on time are? I'd hate to not be able to swim in Luna! Thanks, Jo
