We didn't really see that much of a difference. We are going three times this year, and we're doing standard in Nov & Feb and preferred in April.
We thought we'd only like preferred, but we've NEVER gotten the BDWK view and when we brought friends and needed to stretch the points, we booked standard and it was very nice.
I'd save the 52 points. That's a lot of points. In Feb & April we are only doing DVC Sun through Fri because of the high cost of weekends. I never thought I'd do that but it gets so addictive that you just want to go as often as you can, and those weekend points are future-vacation killers.
