Does anyone have any insight on what exactly this may be? I am guessing a bus stop. Are there any good SV rooms???

Most of them have views of the Epcot fireworks. I always request top floor, across from the bus stop.

I would not count on the fireworks view...we have had 2 SV rooms and both were about the same and neither had fireworks views. The good news is that I thought they were quite pleasant--on par with any view you would get at BCV. We overlooked a small pond with tennis courts to the side, the walking path to MGM to the right, and the ToT to the right. The parking lot was beyond the path, but there were a lot of mature trees, so it wasn't like "oh, look...here's the parking lot." Sure, you see it, but there is a lot to see besides that. You are also close to the bus stop (although we couldn't see it), plus you are close to the quiet pool and SUPER close to the walking path to MGM.

That is our experience. Good luck! If you score a SV room, you just scored one of the best values with DVC!

We prefer SV because we have young kids who need to sleep at their normal bedtime to put in long days at the parks. SV rooms can be much quieter than rooms with a BW view.

I think the consensus of the DisBoards is that, as a percentage, there are fewer SV rooms with poor views/locations than PV. For SV, these are mostly those closest to the lobby that contend with roof views and seranades from the ME luggage trucks. When added to the lower point cost, this is probably why I find SV harder to book than the BWView. -- Suzanne

Our view was the entrance of BWV. Honestly, never had a problem with noise. It's a nice way to save points. 2010 we are going to have a boardwalk view for the first time.

One thing to note - they are only about 20% of the resort - and very popular with BWV owners - possibly more popular than Boardwalk view. Don't plan your trips expecting they will be available if you aren't booking 7-11 months in advance (and sometimes a full 11 months in advance). Sometimes they are...often they are not.

:)Both times we stayed at BWVs we had a view of the front entrance. It was not too close that noise bothered us and was interesting to watch the comings and goings. One time we were there during MNSSHP and it was fun watching the people in costumes.

I agree -- I just called today as it is day one of my 7 month window. Called at 7:00AM and could not get a studio standard for the week of January 24-30, which is a slower time of year. I did waitlist, but booked BCV instead. (We wanted the BWV-S for 6 nights, but took BCV for 5 -- same amount of points.) Since I was saving my BWV points for another trip I called at the 7 month window to use my SSR points.
