Is there a thread or website that has a room map with which room is which view category?

This shows the various booking categories and where the rooms are located throughout the resort.

Debbie...looks like your fingers are a little faster than mine this morning!! :thumbsup2

Wow!! Totally awesome. Thanks!! Do any of the views have a view of EPCOT or of DHS?

I'm not an expert here so anyone please correct me but there isn't really an Epcot or HS view, per se. We've had a preferred view overlooking the quiet pool and we were able to see ToT in the distance. We've had a garden view above Wyland Gallery and was able to see Illuminations above the Boardwalk Inn rooms. We've had boardwalk view and could see Spaceship Earth in the distance along with Illuminations (sort of above ESPN) each night and that was awesome!

I understand there are only Peferred Garden/Pool and Perferred Boardwalk. If I got a Perferred Boardwalk view, what are the best rooms?

I have that thread saved under subscriptions for your super map!

Most of the boardwalk views can see Spaceship Earth and Illuminations. Some of the quiet pool views face DHS, plus the standard views facing the valet parking lot.

I always request top floor. You get a better view and it's more quiet. Although in about 6 stays, I only got the 5th floor once, most of the time 3 or 4. The one time we had 2nd floor we were right over Big River, it was June and it was noisy well into the night. I've stayed in studios & 1 bedrooms, my favorite 1 bedroom was last December, 4041, 4th floor over the store.

There are three views. Boardwalk View overlooks the Boardwalk and you can generally see Spaceship Earth (I can't imagine there is a room you can't see it from). The Boardwalk View is very coveted, but the Boardwalk itself can get busy and loud.

Standard Views are fewer points and face the front drive.

Everything else is preferred view - which are the same number of points as Boardwalk View. There is a huge variety of views in preferred view - some almost as nice as Boardwalk View - some frankly lousy views.

Boardwalk View is about 20% of the resort. Standard view is about another 20% of the resort. These rooms book fast and for much of the year you need to be a Boardwalk owner to ensure one. Preferred Views are almost always available at Boardwalk seven months out - although Boardwalk is seldom available with short (e.g. three months) notice for an entire week at a time (a day here and there).

I have had very poor luck on getting room location requests met at Boardwalk - and apparently I am not alone. Perhaps you'll have better luck.
