We just hit our 60 day mark and can do online check in. We have a garden/pool view. Should I make any room requests or just leave it alone?
Thanks for your help. :thumbsup2

You could request a more specific location such as "main pool view" or "leisure pool view". My favorite is "ground floor leisure pool view" so I can walk out the patio doors to the pool.

What size room? There are studios that face the lawn between the Inn and Villas called the "Village Green". You get may get a partial boardwalk/water view.

Some of the corridors at BWV seem to be never ending. If you want to save yourselves a long walk, ask to be near the elevators.

I should have included our room type. We will have a 1 bedroom.

Then Village Green is out. I would request quiet pool view if you can take stairs (or request first floor). That will take you out the exit by the bus stop.

But you aren't supposed to cut through the shrubbery. And you can't lock the patio door from the outside.

Interesting. I've never seen that rule before (in almost 20 years), and most of the rooms have plenty of a gap in the shrubs. It we got a room that had no gap we wouldn't do it. We get chairs next to the room where we can watch the doors, and we lock up valuables anyway. it's never been a problem.

I would make a room request. We were at BWV a few weeks ago and had a garden/pool view studio. I had requested ground floor, pool view and we got room #1044 which was right by the Luna Park pool. It was a great view! Plus, we were steps away from the Boardwalk. Perfect location.

Gaps are not considered walkways. Walking through the shrubbery can damage it. If they intended you to walk through the shrubbery, there would be a walkway or concrete stepping stones.

There are 'gaps' because guests insist on walking through the shrubbery. If Disney wanted guests to walk through that landscaping, they would have put in little individual passages through the shrubs.

Only make requests if there is something you really want or need. They are just requests - unless we are travelling with the grands and need to make sure we're on the first floor I leave it up to the magic.
