BWV room request

We are first time guests at the BWVs. We have a one bedroom standard view.

We have a 5 y/o and we are all fairly light sleepers.

I was thinking about requesting a 4th floor room facing the parking lot from research I had done previously, but, honestly, I have been working tax season (fall extension) for the past two months and my head is not in the game right now!

Any opinions on this.

I would like to be able to see fireworks if we could from our room - but, not a biggie as i feel they probably won't be that great from the room. My main concern is it being quite.

We are going to the parks everyday (6 days) we will probably do the pool two to three times if we are lucky.

Thank you in advance!

We had a fourth floor room facing the drop-off circle. No complaints with sound other than perhaps being a little too close to the elevator.

The alternative off being way away from the elevator at the other end of the hall would have been worse. Since you've stayed at Kidani, you probably know what I mean.

Are you staying on DVC points or cash? My experience with a cash reservation at BWV is that the standard views are all pool or canal views, not parking lot. I think all the parking lot views (facing Epcot) are used for DVC stays only. At least that's what one of the front desk CMs told me. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong!

yes, we are using DVC points.

And, yes, I do know what you mean about the long hallways in Kidani - I can deal with that for the most part I guess!

What was your view? of what park? any fireworks? ::yes::

I *think* you have to be over at the far end of the Beach Club to see much anything from Epcot. Those fireworks are so close to the ground that there's not much to see.

Should I call them or email them for my general room selection?

Does it matter?

does anyone have the phone or the email?

I have had rooms that faced either the tennis court area (very end of the hallway) or facing the bus stop/parking lot. I was on the fourth floor once....right behind a tree. No view of anything, other than rampaging squirrels!!! At the end of the hall, facing the Hess Station and the tennis courts, it was really quiet. But again, no possible view of the fireworks. I have been on the ground level....nice access to the bus stop but no fireworks. I have had a top floor, treeless view....it was nice. I was able to see some of the fireworks. Not a great way to watch IllumiNations but better than nothing I suppose.

Actually, i called BWV directly and my ressie wasn't showing yet - usually from what the CM told me it will 7-9 days prior - so, i will give it a few more days and then make my general room request.

They don't take room requests that way for DVC. You have to have it added to your reservation through Member Services. You weren't talking to the resort, but the general call center and they really don't know anything about DVC reservations.
