I never never written a review so forgive me if I am not a fluent as I should be.
Arrived at MCO right on time Wednesday at 11:30am. After some confusion prior to leaivng my vouchers were not sent to my home so I had to call DME the day before we arrived. I was told go to terminal B level 1. Okay my mistake I arrived in terminal A walked to level 1, oops no ME so I saw a bus ran over and the driver was so nice said "get on in I will give you a lift over"! Perfect till we arrived the line was about a 40 minute wait with a huge amount of convention guests but hey it was my DH and myself we had time so we stood, waited and boarded all in all we did not get to the BWV until 2:00pm.
A big "welcome home" from the staff which was very nice. We booked a 2BR for me DH and friends from South Florida, an adult vacation for the first time ever using our DVC (big change for us) kids are in college now so we needed to try this out
.
Villa was ready when we arrived
and for the first time ever we had a 2BR on the first floor, quiet pool. I admit I was a bit bummed but I let it ride to try something new so I was open to anything. The villa was in beautiful condition and the fact I could open the patio door and walk 20 feet to the hot tub was great! The carpet looked new as well as the bed linens and spreads of course there is a bit of wear and tear with cabinet doors and bathroom vanities but nothing major. My only concern not only this trip but also last November was a mold issue in the bathrooms. The master bathroom had a bit but the other really had alot more. The shower curtain on the top the grout, floor and air duct. I think they need to check the ventilation system since when the fans on on they barely are "sucking up" any moisture. If someone has any kind of mold allergy it could be a problem. The villa was clean of course I really think people don't see dust on lamps so if anyone stays in villa 1128 - 1130 have no fear I cleaned them for you
. DH and I made our way out to the BW had a pizza (ash Wednesday) sat outside it was great! Dinner at Big River sat outside again Ceasar salad with grilled shrimp, hit the spot with a nice cold beer our friends arrived and we had a martini party in our villa perfect day
.
Things we did!
DTD boat ride to Olivias for lunch saw the shuttle launch from the boat nice afternoon!
Dinner at Emerils at Universal City Walk, fantastic food and view I strongly recommend!
Boys, bass fishing they loved it; us girls went to the GF to the spa wonderful!
Dinner at BlueZoo fantastic best meal I ever had on disney property you must go!!!
La Cirque what a fun night and great show
.
Lunch at Beaches and Cream yum brownie sundae!
Dinner at Spoodles it was really good.
We shopped, rented bikes, went to Jellyrolls all in all we had a ball.
Never went into the parks we did not intend to and really we had a wonderful time. It wsa nice to know there is a place for us there without our children and we enjoyed every moment.
I even have a new found love for first floor rooms 20 feet from the hot tub! I also liked the long walks around the lake really seeing the beauty of disney in a whole new light after 13 years of being a part of DVC.
I'm a bit sad to be home, but now I can plan the next trip
