BWV resale question

We are looking at purchasing a resale at BWV but it does not come with enough points. Is there and advantage to picking up additional points at another location like VB or VWL? Or should I hold out until another resale becomes available?

I like to own at different places because I like to stay at different places knowing I can make my reservation at the 11 month time. (is that confusing?)

I like to go in December (first or second week). OKW and BVW have been know to fill up at the 10th month time for this period never mind the 7th. Yes there are cancellations but I tried for a month before coming to a WDW hotel. Now I own at BW, WL, OKW and VB - overkill probably but I can now every other year make my reservations at bw or wl with no problem.

It depends upon what you want. I would go with what you can get now, the next resale might cost more and still not be exactly what you want.

I would hold out for a sale that is the number of point you need. That way you pay the legal fees once.

Also and more important you get the points you need.

The resale market seems fairly lively, we just bought more points a month ago, we had a number of options. Like any market there is a feeling you should jump right in when you see something close to what you want, particularly if you want it a lot, but it is best to shop for what you need and let a few near misses pass by.

Definitely wait. Unless you plan on staying at the other resorts, there is no advantage. We passed up a couple of resales and ended up getting exactly what we wanted at a cheaper price. Also be sure that there are current and leftover points available for the best value.

Yes! check for useable, also banked and borrowed points.

I'd hold out for the number of points that you have determined you needed rather than buying to separate contracts and paying the closing cost twice. I'm not sure which resale broker or brokers you are working with but if it's only one than there are others that may have different resales. We bought through Jaki Apetz at A Timeshare Broker 888-345-2622. She had what we wanted and handled the transaction in a very professional and timely manner. Stayed in good communications with us through out the process.
Took about 4 wks and that was over Christmas week when most things come to a stand still.

I hope you find just what you are looking for. I would wait until I found what I wanted. We have BWV and are thinking of selling, I don't know if we will use a broker or sell it ourselves. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Have a great Disney day.
