BWV Renovation Update

Have they completed the renovations on the Standard View Rooms?

I was there 2 weeks ago and they were nowhere close to done. It looked like they were still working on getting the old stuff off. Someone had posted that it will not be complete until August/September. What I couldn't understand is why they are working on such a large area, they could have worked on smaller sections and kept more rooms open. Another interesting thing I found is we stopped by the store in the lobby and I walked over near the elevators and noticed that they have the doors to the rooms they are working on boarded off, I assume to keep the noise from carrying over to the occupied rooms on the other side of the hall. What I would like to know is how this affects member availability. DVC can own 4% so that can hold back rooms for renovations but this is way more than 4%.

Just returned and they were removing ther scaffoing (sp) from the area over looking the middle courtyard. These are preferred view rooms and looks like the work on the Boardwalk is finally done. We had our best location ever this trip - Boardwalk view over the Store, next to a GV. Loved waking up to the view and loved going to sleep looking at the Epcot Icon!!! We made our ressie just 5 weeks ago - lucky this trip!

Thanks Debbie & Niagra...we will be going in the Fall and I was hoping all the renovations would be complete.
