I was planning on buying approximately 250 pts at the BWV through a re-sale. I am only interested in BWV. After seeing many people buying directly through Disney, I am questioning which way to go...Re-sale or Disney. With re-sale you pay approx. $85 per point plus $600ish closing plus $5.04 per any 2008 points if there are any left from the sellers. My immediate questions are 1) Does Disney sell large point contracts (250ish) for a sold out resort like BWV? 2) What price per point and any other costs they charge corresponding to re-sale costs? 3) Any use year would be fine I think so, what if any are my chances of getting this large a contract and a wild guess how long it make take. Whew! my index finger is tired from typing. Thanks to all or anyone who will offer an opinion.

If you are considering buying BWV, Disney would sell you the 250 point contract if they have the points, and if you do go with them, I would look for a UY that hasn't begun in '08. That way you would be getting the '07 points "free" with no MF involved, and usually they let you bank the points even if you are beyond the banking deadline. Just mentioning that. I do think the cost is over $100 per point, and there could be some closing fees involved since you are a new customer.

Take a look at the TSS offerings- they have some decent BWV contracts up for sale; maybe something you're interested in?.

For a 250 point contract, I would definitely consider resale. Sometimes the larger BWV contracts are less per point than the smaller ones. Price per point, closing costs and maintenance fees are all negotiable. I have used TTS and loved them. I have also used GMAC when TTS did not have a contract with banked points and I got a great deal from them. GMAC seems to have lots of contracts because they have some kind of deal with Disney. (If you check with GMAC, ask for Rachel and/or Jackie. They were excellent to work with.) Remember that you can offer less than asking price or have seller pay fees and a motivated seller may well be happy to accept, especially in the current economic environment. Good luck. We love our BWV points and feel that, as more and more DVC resorts are sold, the 11 month window for booking at BWV will become very important. Good luck! Hope to be welcoming you home soon!

There are currently some AWESOME resale contracts floating around out there. I saw one today that was 210 points with over 400 points available ( that were banked ). Priced at $89.00 per point. Those deals can't be beat. :thumbsup2
