Going to WDW in August for our first adults only trip since having children, for my 40th. This will be our first time since owning DVC (almost 11 years) that we will be staying at the BWV. I went online at the 7 month mark and 2 of the 5 nights were not available for Boardwalk view or standard view in a studio, so i chose the garden/pool view so i know i had a room lol.
Is there any specific areas i should request??????

Adults only, I would waitlist a boardwalk view.

Waitlist BW view. For the garden/pool view request "Village Green." These rooms are close to the elevator and overlook the grassy area between the lobby and the boat dock. These rooms also have a partial BW view.

If a studio then as Jean suggested request Village Green as that has a side view of the Boardwalk. If it's a 1BR then personally I'd request the quiet pool view.

I am booked as well, how do you avoid a room that overlooks the demon clown slide?

Ask for one overlooking the community pool or my favorite area of the resort for preferred view is there is a grassy field behind Jellyrolls - I've heard it called "the croquet lawn" but I don't know if CMs know it by that. Do note that the most convenient rooms close to the elevator are the ones that have the highest chance of overlooking Luna Park. Also, I've owned for fifteen years now and we almost always stay at BWV. I had a room request met ONCE in fifteen years. It is not the best resort for meeting requests, but it can't hurt to ask.

Thank you everyone. I am wait listed for a Boardwalk View.. if it comes through, great, if not no big deal. Like i said this is an adult only trip, our first in 14 1/2 years, and we will have fun no matter where we are :)

I would waitlist as well. We had a wonderful BW view in June of 2014. Last April DH and I got a garden view and requested the village green and got 3rd floor quiet pool--with a monstrous tree right in front of us so we couldn't see any of it. I know many people don't care about the view, but we have been to WDW so often we do spend a lot of room time and it sure was nicer to sit over the BW and hear the horns, etc.

Thanks, I will request a room by the community pool.

We had a Village Green Studio & didn't care for it at all. It was very noisy at night till all hours. One night there was a group of young adults hanging out carrying on like they were at a New Year's Eve party (it was November). I finally called the front desk at 2AM to have them chased off. If you want quiet I prefer the Community Pool area.

Boardwalk - along with Y&BC - is one of the resorts that gets a lot of wedding business - and it has attractions for the 20 something bar crowd (more than one bar in walking distance) - we were talking to the head of Boardwalk Security one night and he was telling us that its a regular (i.e. several times a week) occurrence to break up fist fights between wedding parties and for wedding parties of drunk twenty somethings to need to be shut down
