it actually isn't that long a walk (see my signature

). as you go thru the guard booth, pass the resort guest lot (with poles at the 1st entrance) on your right. turn at the right before you reach the traffic circle/lobby. on your right is the entrance to the resort guest lot. if you park close to that entrance, you can just use the walkway by the business ctr, and busstop. (note that the "arms" at nearby street entrance will not open for resort or other guests).
if you park at the side where the 1st, blocked entrance is, just walk along the bridge walkway to the lobby.
as others said, you can drop someone with the groceries at the traffic circle/lobby entrance, and park the car - we normally don't bother (we both enjoy the walk too much

). they have gotten much more restrictive with BW parking (thank goodness!) as non-resort guests would park in that lot, leaving no spots for the resort guests. the many things we love about the BW also appeal to many who are not actually staying there. aside from those looking to avoid parking fees, the BW offers free nighttime performers, restaurants, jellyrolls, carny games, etc that ppl want to see/do. no other WDW resort offers as much, hence, the influx of non-resort guests not seen elsewhere.
btw, we very much prefer the short walk to seeing (and smelling

) cars from our villa. for us, it feels more like we are at a resort rather than a hotel somewhere
