Just wondering if anyone can tell me the pool hours at Luna Park . We have a later arrival Sunday July 17 and would like to enjoy the pool on the first night if possible.

Thanks for any info!

We were there from 6/23 thru 7/2. The first weekend the hours were 10am to 8pm but by the middle of the week the hours were extended to 10-10. Quiet pool was open til midnight.

Darn, things have changed since my last visit: back then, Luna was open 24/7. The lifeguard staffing wasn't 24/7 (only until 11pm), but if you wanted to swim on your own at 3am, you could. Never took much advantage of those "graveyard shift" hours, but it was nice knowing the option was there. The green eyeshade types at Disney must have forced them to cut back (likely for insurance reasons). :sad2:

By the way, 10am is awfully late for a pool to open at a major family resort.

I think the option is still there - if you are quiet and do not disturb others. We were told that if anyone complained about noise, we would be asked to leave. AFAIK, that is still the policy.

Best wishes -

Thanks Carol - during the visit I was referring to (August of 2001), I remember picking up the pool hours from a sign that was right near poolside bar. When I first read it, I was surprised to see it said that Luna was "always" open and had to read it again before I was sure I wasn't missing something (if I also recall correctly, the sign said something to the effect "late pm/early am use allowed as long as guests appreciate the need to keep sound levels down."

I also just picked up from another site that Luna is still open 24/7  (lifeguards only on duty until sometime in evening; time varies by season). My kids will appreciate being able to go for a swim at 10pm!!!!

We just returned for a stay there 6/30 - 7/5 & there were several people swimming when we returned from the parks - sometimes around 10:30 - 11:00 pm. Just no lifeguard was on duty.
