BWV or VWL

We usually stay at the VWL every year in February. I absolutely love it. We are going again next week but have reservations for the BWV in June for a week. We decided to try to BWV due to the fact that three 15 year olds will be with us and can have easy access to the Studios and EPCOT. But after reading all the reports on the BWV, I am seriously thinking we should reconsider and stay at the VWL again if possible. I need some insight fast! Is the BWV really as run down and dirty as I am reading. We are renting a 2 bedroom and I don't want to waste my points and be miserable! HELP!

The BWV is beautiful. We have stayed there 4 times and absolutely love it. We have never had a problem with housekeeping/rooms have always been perfect. Walking home from Epcot after Illuminations is the best. Same with Studios. Try it, you won't be sorry. Good luck.

LOL! Where did you read this????? BWV is NOT run down and dirty at all! I just got back from WDW, 2 weeks ago and BWV was as wonderful and as beautiful as ever!
BTW, I think BWV is a good choice with teenagers. My kids loved the Epcot resorts as teens. There is a lot to do and it is a very convenient location for teens to get around on their own without always needing to rely on a bus.

It could just be BWVs turn to be persecuted. Everyone has their favorites, and lots of expectations about each of the DVC resort. If you do a search of VWL, you'll have no trouble finding people complaining about the rude staff, dirty rooms, slow transportation, etc...

I have my personal preferences, but I take it all with a grain of salt. I'd rather stay at my least favorite DVC than offsite anytime! Since you're going to be there next week, why don't you just swing by BWVs, and decide for yourself if you think you'll be happy there this summer?

Thanks so much for all your replies! After reading a few posts on here-one from utterly disappointing BWV visit and the one about what needs to be changed there- I guess I freaked out! Thank you so much for putting my fears to rest-especially before my husband came home and I went hysterical on him! Thanks again!

I don't think you will be disappointed but if everyone keeps posting bad things about BWV its okay with me. I'm selfish and don;t want to have to compete with you for a room. Everytime I want to go on short notice it is always booked so other DVC members staying at their own resorts works for me. LOL

I just got back 2 wks ago and had a WONDERFUL time and first trip home. The resort was clean, had walking access to 2 great parks, had lots of restaurants to choose for dining, etc etc. We hung out by the pool for a few days and just loved the resort. If you need details, just check out the thread on page 2 entitled "Just back from 1st trip home" I think. But we were very pleased and wished we had bought there. We will definitely revisit again.

I am really shocked that no one has told you to skip these 2 resorts and go to OKW. All hail OKW!

In reality I stay at BWV every trip and I have always been pleased with the room and the resort. Dont let a very few that like to complain ruin your plans.

Couldn't have said it better, myself!

BWV owners must never pass up an opportunity to talk about the teeny, tiny rooms, the "Scary Clown" and the horribly long hallways! And then there's the long trek to the parking lot and the completely unacceptable bus service!!!! Why would anyone ever want to stay there!!!!

Minniestheone - Don't believe everything you read here. It'll just make you crazy! BWV is a wonderful resort. I'm sure you and your teens will love it! You will not regret your decision to give it a try!

And don't forget the thousands of food trays in the hallways left by the members who are complete slobs and I believe also referred to once as trailer park trash! And we really must not forget that not only are the rooms tiny, they are almost "useless"! LOL
