I just got a great AAA rate on a 2bedroom villa at the BWV. I currently have 2 standard rooms booked at the Dolphin. There are 4 adults and 2 small children. We have stayed at the BWVs before in a 2 bedroom and really liked it. Other than the cash savings what are the benefits of the Dolphin over the BW? I am afraid the new F+ won't be available to the SD also. I know there is a convention going on at the Dolphin during our dates also. (Nov.30 - Dec.7) I'm really leaning towards the BWV.

One thing to consider is you will not have DME at The Dolphin. If you are renting a car, you will have to pay for parking at the hotel, I think it's around $15 per day.

Don't forget to figure in the Dolphin's mandatory resort fee in your cost calculations.

Did you get the AAA rate by just calling AAA? I am curious on what the discount rate was? Do you mind sharing the rate per night you got?

With a nice rate like that, I would go with BWV. Your family would also be all together then in a 2br. BWV is closer to EPCOT/HS paths and boat docks. You are also right on the BW when you stay there! :goodvibes

I got 20% off. Last time we had a pin for 40% off! I don't think we'll see that again. That was the first week of Dec. 2010. We'll probably stay at the BWV as we really enjoyed it last time. Some of our party will need transportation so we need to figure that cost in also if we stay at the Dolphin. The rest are driving so we'll have to pay for parking at the Dolphin also. So there will be several add-ons at the SD. The ones flying have 2 littles ones so using ME would be very easy for them. We've used it before so they know what to do. Also the washer and dryer in the villa would be great. Thanks for your help! I got the BWV for a little over $5000. (room only 7 nights)

If you stay at a 2 Bdrm you can always get some basic groceries delivered to save $. We have always used Garden Grocer, but there are others. We would get basic breakfast items, some snacks, drinks, etc. when my kids were younger I would get peanut butter and a loaf if bread as well. That way, if they were hungry, I would give them a sandwich before the pool or wherever we were headed. I would also get some apples and bananas so I knew they were getting some healthy food.
