Hi, we went to BWV 2 years ago and now going to Disney next April. Anyones preference as to which is better BCV or BWV as we say the pool and it was great but I've heard mixed reviews on rooms at BCV. Thanks

BCV - hands down!!! :thumbsup2

Have you seen the pool at BC?
It's got a zero-entry, sand bottom pool that is perfect for toddlers.
Bring the sand toys (they also sell some there) & your kids may never want to leave the resort.

Seriously.

Oh, and have a great trip!

Yes, the sand-bottomed pool at BCV can't be beat. It's cool and imaginative and the kids love it. However, I have to say that as a Mother of 3 (the kids were 4, 6 and 6 months), I was never able to relax at that pool, because it's so HUGE! My kids were never in the same place at the same time and trying to keep my eye on all of them really made me crazy. And that pool gets CROWDED.

We stayed at BWV a couple of years before and I found that to be much more enjoyable for our family (the kids were 2 and 4 then). There's so much going on, out on the Boardwalk, in the lobby, and the kids just feel like they're at a carnival. The kids also loved riding those big surrey bicycles and getting a cinammon roll from the Boardwalk Bakery on our walk into the parks. The kids pool is smaller and more contained at Boardwalk, which I liked for the ages they were.

I love both resorts, and really -- you can't go wrong either way. Most of us only have a slight preference of one over the other. :cool1:

I would have to agree w/ the previous poster. If your kids are very young, the pool at BWV might be better for you. They have a shallow wading pool off to one side that is easy to keep an eye on. Stormalong Bay ( the pool at BC/YC) is an incredible pool. It is large and meandering so it would be hard to keep an eye on small kids at that pool. There is also another pool at the BC. I think the rooms are quite similar at both of these resorts. I think you have more rooms w/ more desirable views at the BWV, but you do have the extremely long walk from the elevators. I have read some complaints on views at the BC; I wouldn't want a view of the service road and swamp on the backside of this resort; however, it's not nearly as large as the BW, so things are a little more centralized. You also have the great takeout counter in the giftshop at BC. BW does not have much available in CS other than pizza or bakery goods. So as you can see, they both have good and bad points. You need to decide what things are most important to you and then make your final choice. Good luck. Ed

dallasdisneymommy said it!! If you are outnumbered by the kids, you will constantly be doing headcounts and not be able to enjoy yourself or relax. At BWV, the kiddie pool, big pool and playground are in a compact area that is easy to view from several vantage points. The BC pool is great, but not for kids who like to explore, or think they can swim or if you are outnumbered. Both locatgions are great!
