BWV or BCV Help Me Decide

Ok, here's the deal.

First trip as a family on our DVC. I've been twice since becoming a member, but DH has not.

DS will be 3 at the time of the trip, almost 4.

We're going in September.

I currently have a 1 bedroom BWV standard view booked. I called MS this morning and am debating about choosing BCV because of Stormalong Bay. We'll probably be spending more time in the pool since the weather will be so warm.

I've never stayed at either resort and want to know which one might be better.

Points are not an issue. I have the extra points to use. However, I do have a bad back and the bed is an issue. I need a good bed. Not hard. I sleep on memory foam at home.

Any suggestions?

If the trip is strongly going to be about the pool go with Beach Club, (and that's coming from a die hard BW fan!)

Well, of course, we're doing the parks as well. But since its September, a afternoon swim/nap will be a daily occurrence...

I hate that I'm so indecisive! DH is no help at all. He's says I should choose.

I've stayed at both and I'd say BCV since you have a little one. My kids are 9, 7, and 2 and they loved SAB!

We've been to both BCV and BWV with the kids and loved both. That being said, our 3.5yo dd absolutely loved the BCV shallow area of SAB on our trip in April. It was so nice to be able to hang around the shallow area of the pool where she could play in the sand with her bucket and shovel. At BWV, we have to hold her since there is no zero entry.
We love the BW at night, so we just walked on over there to enjoy the entertainment.
Either way you can't go wrong. We love them both.

I would go with the BC because of the pool. But, we also love the BWVs, too! Either way you can't go wrong and if the BC is available for your trip, I say go for it! Have a great trip!

Don't worry about being indecisive, I'm doing this for 10 years and I still have a hard time making up my mind (although we bought at BW because it was, and still is, our favorite of all of them).

You will be very happy no matter where you stay, they're all awesome! However I do agree with the other posters. You have a little one, and the zero entry at SAB will probably work best. We started going when our kids were 6, and then stayed at Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and Coronado Springs before we bought in. By the time we bought they were almost 11, so the pool issue wasn't much of a thing for us. If they were small, I'd have gone to BCV!

We're staying Sep 6-12th. The Beach Club is available for all nights except the 6th. So I waitlisted the whole week. I don't want to switch resorts on the off chance that the one night doesn't come through...DH would not like that. So I waitlisted for the week. Hope I get it!

I am surprised that you didn't get it right away.

If you do wind up in the BWV, I think that would be fine. I think the little circus animals with the squirting water statues makes the BW pool a fine choice for your little guy. There are lots of distractions at SAB, and we like it, but it's harder to mind the kids there. That sandy area that the people rave about is next to a whirlpool and also close to the lazy river that's 6-8 ft. deep.

I would just take the 7th to 12th and switch after 1st night (try to get studio for 1st night at BCV so not too much moving involved). You'll be at the pool most of the day anyhow.

I'd pick the BCV especially in the heat of september.
