Those of you who have stayed in a room facing where the old red building was at BWV. What is your opinion? How about at the ground level where red building was. Is it busy outside your room with foot traffic? :cool1: :cool1:

New BWview rooms groung level, who has been in one and was it OK? your thoughts please. ( boardwalk side)

I can't believe no one has stayed in any of these rooms yet

We stayed in a room on the 4th floor looking out at where the Red Building was. I have a previous post somewheres that shows some pictures I took of the area. It was considered a standard view room (not sure if it still is or not or maybe just a standard view overflow area) and it was a great room. Views of the canal and the ToT at MGM. Easy access to a couple of stairways made it even better.

I stayed in a studio, first floor, boardwalk view. I thought the room was relatively quiet (given the location), and the view was nice--I enjoyed it. There is no direct access to the boardwalk from these rooms.

There was a patio which ran all the way across the front of the building, so it was not very private. There is very nice landscaping right off the patio, so there would be no place for little ones to run around.

The room was great, but I think I'll stick with the standard views! :cool1:

Hi,
We were on 5th floor overlooking where the red building was this past January. At that time, they still had a big white tent up while they were taking down the red building and replanting the area. Since we were on the 5th floor the tent didn't distract from our view at all and it was a VERY nice view of canal, Swan, Dolphin and Tower of Terror. However, we were charged PV for this room (it was a 2 bedroom lockoff). I've since seen others on the boards refer to these rooms as standard or standard overflow, but,
I checked our confirmation and point charges and it was definitely charged as
a PV room. IMO it is a preferred view since the canal and now the new garden area and the view of Swan/Dolphin and TOT are great.

Here's a Link to the thread where I posted some pictures from the 4th Floor Room looking at the area where the Red Building was. It was during the final construction phase but it does give a good indication of the view and what the area will be like.

I didn't know where the "old red building was until I looked at the pics from the links because our first stay at BWV was just last May. And yes, we stayed in a standard view 2 BR and had a courtyard outside with new sod and arches at the ends (no climbing roses yet, though). We were on the lowest level for the villas on that wing. Great location, just walk out the back stairs and around the end of the Boardwalk to head to anywhere. It was a beautiful view of the canal and Swan/Dolphin. We figured it was a standard view because they were working on the pipes in the hallway while we were there. We didn't realize they had removed a building that would have been our view.
