We are loving our stay in a 2 br BWV, even though it is the next to the last villa at the end of a very long hallway. That is really no biggie.

But, do all the villas have an issue with the high chair fitting in the front closet by the entry door? I tried to open the closet and could not. Realized there is no way to get that high chair in there and be able to slide open both doors. Of all the villas we have stayed in, we have never seen one with this issue.

Can someone tell me how to set the time on the iHome? The time is off by about 50 minutes. When we arrived it was unplugged, and I think the battery backup must have been weak. I went on-line to find a manual for the iHome and there is suppose to be a button in the back to make time adjustments. On the back of this one is a screwed on piece of plastic giving iPod usage instructions.

There has to be a way to set the time and it is really bugging me. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm at BWV too! I just checked the closet and there's no problem with the high chair.

I have an issue with the iHome time too! Mine is 10 minutes fast, which is probably good, I have more time to get ready than I think! I looked at it and didn't see a button either. I hate that hotels do this with their alarm clocks, I've had the same problem at others (non-Disney).

Call maintenance about setting the clock. Yes, it is silly to have to do that, but until the powers that be realize what they've done its the only way.

If I remember correctly, to set the iHome, you need to unscrew the silver screw on the back and take the little door off to reveal a time zone setting. Then use one of the wheels on top of the unit (the volume I think) to adjust the time.

I found the manual on-line last week too, and it wasn't 100% straight-forward!

something my 18 year old taught me, the heck with hotel alarm clocks, use your cellphone!!!! I had never thought of that, and it is great.

But I would call maintenance to have it looked at or at least to bring directions, also, I thought the highchair was in the master closet? seemed to fit better, but I could be wrong.

As far as your room location, BWV actually was built with part of the building inside the Bermuda Triangle. There aren't any middle rooms only rooms at the ends of the hallways. :rotfl2:

Thank you RatherB. Yep, that baby screws right off and there is the button I need.

Clarabelle, cell phones are great. I just wake up alot in the middle of the night and need something with big numbers in order to see it.

Bill.....LOL. Good one. We actually are OK with the long hallway, as I realize someone has to stay in these rooms. It is our turn this time.

I think the maids unplug all the alarm clocks to reset the alarm function so that the next guests are not disturbed by the last guests settings. I have had the same problem with the I homes not being set right... or they have been set to not be lit when the lights are off. not sure they were the best thing. I always set my cell phone alarm... works like a charm... but it is nice to have a clock with the correct time.:hippie:

LOL!! Good one Bill!! We've only had those END rooms, so must be true!! LOL!

As far as the high chair, we've never had that problem and have stayed in BWV quite a few times..hmm..

Got back from Room 2001 (1BR )a few weeks ago. We were not too sure of the location at first as we had never stayed that far down. However, despite the long walk, we loved the different views. Also, it was an end unit and it seemed quite a bit bigger than the usual 1BRs...oh, and we got off the bus at the Swan after AK and MK and the walk to the back door of BWVs was just a couple minutes...

Returned home last night. We were in 3009, which was in Crest O' the Wave, last room on the left in that section (as you face it). One disadvantage to this room, with the wall of the building right next to us, we barely see the boat dock.

Since it was warm, it was nice sitting out at night after we returned listening to music from the Atlantic Dance Hall. The last 2 nights we were out there until midnight.

One thing that bugged me - is there anything they can do with the TV's so that the volume does not blast when you turn it on? Seems like this happens at all hotels.

Someone mentioned garbage in the hall on another thread. I noticed that there was a sign pointing to the trash room but I didn't see the room on our "journey" down the hall. So on the last day, I opened the door for ice & vending and it turned out to be the trash room! No wonder people don't know where it is!

The things that are wrong at BWV are trumped by a mile by the good things - IMHO

This problem seemed to be much worse at BWV than at any other place I've stayed! Every time I turned on the TV I was frantically pushing the Volume Down button to lower the volume as quickly as possible, especially if I was turning on the TV early in the morning or later in the evening. It was ridiculously loud!

It really is all the resorts. We were in an AKL studio one night before our BWV stay and it was the same way. We were at BLT for one night in Sept and the same thing there.

It was comical with this stay though. We kept the doors open between the living room and the studio. When we used the remote for the TV in the LR it would activate the TV in the studio. Turn the power off for the LR TV and the studio TV would turn on. Once the studio TV was muted and we turned the volume up on the LR TV and the volume came back on in the studio.

We should have tested it with the doors closed. :)

ITA! Became very good friends with the mute button.
