BWV High speed internet access?

I read that BWV has High speed internet access available.
Has anyone here used it before? My question is at home I have High speed Cable internet and will be taking our laptop along for the trip. If I leave the laptop unconnected for a period of time the IP address goes back to a 169. number and the cable co has to renew my connection from thier office. How will I be able to get the internet to work at BWV once I get there? Will the front desk be able to help. I am planning on taking a cat-5 cable along. What else should I do?

It should set itself up automatically. Just plug in, turn on the machine, open the browser and try to browse to somewhere. It should go to the Disney sign up screen.

IF it does not(and write this down), put this address in the browser address bar: 192.168.1.1 , it should then bring up the sign up page.

If that doesn't work, call the tech help # that will be on the high speed internet pamphlet you should get when you get there. They can talk you through anything more complicated.

Also a word of advice, do NOT close the window with the running clock on it or you'll have to go thru the signup thing again, it's what keeps your pc connected.

I have the IP address written down on my planning sheet already!
I knew someone here would be able to help me.
I wanted to be able to get online to view Disney information while on vacation. I had always tried to write every thing down and take it with me, But this way I would have it available anytime.
Parade times things like that.

DH used it in April and loved it. Didn't get into any of the specs but I remember it being very easy and user friendly. It has a 24 hour count down clock and then it asks you to renew. We took partial day breaks so we didn't have to pay for a whole week(5 days I think). It was really fast and we had no problems. If you have any questions I can ask DH for you.
