Hello,
I know that they are only requests but from my experience at AKV if you request a certain room number sometimes you wil get it.
This is the first time staying at the BWV and we can't wait!
I booked a one bedroom preferred view and would like to know if anybody remembers any room numbers for rooms that were great, maybe close to the pools, elevators, lobby?
I know that maybe I'm asking for too much but you never know. We are going to use the pools as we have 2 children with us 15 and 9 but we are also going to be visiting the parks often.
Thanks in advance!
5 more days!:cool1:

i would suggest that you make your requests location based (e.g., near pool, floor level, etc), rather than room number.
getting a specific room is unlikely, and the room assigner will NOT look to see why you chose that particular room if it unavailable (which it most likely will be; the resort is regularly at full, or very near full, capacity), and you might very well wind up with the total opposite of what you wanted.

if you have a stroller, scooter, or someone who cannot walk distances, request near elevator (there is only one bank of elevators, and the furthermost rooms can be a bit of a walk). however, there are multiple stairwells throughout the resort that led out to the pool, walkway to DHS, etc (we prefer the stairwells when on the 2nd and 3rd floors, but usually use them only going down when on the 4th or 5th).
take a look at the map, and make one or two requests based on where you would like to be. enjoy (we LOVE the BWVs:cloud9:)

The one time I requested a specific room # at BWV, I ended up on the other side of the resort. I requested 3123, which is the large corner standard 1 bedroom by the parking lot. They put us down by Jellyrolls. It was awhile ago and the room looked over the roof of the old DVC sales building and was the last room (3002). After that, I did my usual "top floor, across from the bus stop". That's how I got 3123 originally.

Thanks forall the help, I will look it up and will ask for a room close to the elevator on the second floor if possible.
Lately my right foot is bothering me after walking long distances( plantar fascitis)
I know that we are to have to this time take more frequent brakes

Good luck with your requests. We always request a high floor away from the elevator. You probably want the opposite.

DVC News has a "Room Finder" for each DVC resort, many posts have included pictures of the views along with a description of pros and cons of that room. It's really helpful.

Check it out here:http://dvcnews.com/index.php/resorts/boardwalk-villas

There is also a map that was done of where rooms are depending on there category here:

Also check out the Boardwalk Villas fan thread here in the DIS resorts section.

thanks a lot for the information
