I'm a few days away from trying to book my first GV at BWV. I will be calling right at the 11 month window. From what I've read I should be able to secure a reservation this far out. But I've read that BWV has five single story villas and two two story villas. The consensus seems to be the single story units are more desirable. Can I request a single story unit this far out? I seem to recall Disney accept room requests but doesn't guarantee anything.

I'm very excited to stay in a GV. The floorplans look amazing. We will be spoiled and never want to stay in a 2BR unit again!

Why are you calling and not booking online? A request for a single story villa is just a request you can make it with MS if you call them or you can make the request by using the contact form on the member website.

Good Luck

I would book online at 8:00am eastern rather than waiting for 9:00am to call.

You can request a one story but it is not guaranteed. With only 7 units, it depends on when people are checking out. The 2 story units are on the 5th floor right under the Boardwalk sign. You probably have a better view there.

Yes, you can request a single story GV 11 months out but I don't think that when you make the request makes any difference in your likelihood of having the request met. Since there are only 7 total BWV GVs it really mostly boils down to which one/s is/are available on the day you check in. We also requested a single story unit and begged to get one because we had 2 crawling infants in that GV and worried about the steps in a 2 story. We still got the 2 story.
If it is any comfort, the view of the fireworks from the 2 story GVs is fantastic because they are on 5th/6th floor and the higher floors at BWV have the best view of both Illuminations and of Wishes in the distance. The family members for whom we booked the GV were all thrilled with the 2 story, even though they ended up having to put the ironing board across the steps to keep the babies safe. (First time anyone has ever used an ironing board at WDW, I think! :rotfl:)

I had to do a point transfer to have enough to book the room and I don't see the transferred points in my account. But I called MS and they confirmed they were there. So I don't think I can book online.

True, in this case you have to call. Thought that you could get an hour jump on other callers.

Yes. Very good idea. I totally forgot I could book online. I got excited for a minute then realized the transferred in points don't show online.

Could you book online with the points you have at 8:00 AM and then call in at 9 to add the additional days with the transferred in points?

Assuming you own at the BWV and have some BWV points, Air Goofy's advice is the way to go. :)

Book as many nights as you can with your own BWV points. Then call MS and finish the reservation with the BWV transferred points. MS can combine / link everything together so that you end up with one continuous reservation.

Good luck!
