We are looking at Grand Villa at BWV for our DD 21 birthday.
It will be her and several of her college friends.
Is there enough room for her and her friends to have their fun and for parents to have some privacy?
How many entrenches are there.?
Any advice for those who may have been in same position young and old?

I know there are one and two story versions of the GV at BWV but not sure if you can count on getting a specific one.

I would think you would be fine though if you are okay being in your room to get away from them haha. I think the GVs all have 2 entrances as well. I know there is some people on here who have stayed in those rooms but you could also check out YouTube videos to see what you think?

Also for the same points you likely could get 2x 2BRs if that would work better? Just get a set of magic bands for each room so everyone can get in to both rooms if you really want.

The single-floor GV has the master suite on one side of the villa and the other two bedrooms are on the other side of the living room and kitchen. There are two entries, one near the 2 bedrooms and the main entrance to the living room. The 2-story GVs have a master suite on the first floor and the other bedrooms are on the upper floor. There is no second entrance.

The amount of privacy that you can expect would depend on whether the living room will be occupied by the young people during the night while the older adults are trying to sleep in the master suite.

As an alternative, the Kidani GVs are two floors and have a separate entrance to the second floor. The two upstairs bedrooms are separated by a loft area that has a sofa bed. It can be a hangout area for the younger crowd. They can be out late, enter thru the upper floor and not disturb the older adults sleeping in the master suite on the first floor. It’s also worth noting that there are 4 full bathrooms in the Kidani GV, which means that the master bath is for the exclusive use of the occupants of the master suite whereas the master bath in the BWV single-floor GV has a door that leads from the living room into the bathroom in addition to one leading from the master suite into the bathroom.

There are 5 single-story and 2 two-story GVs at BWV. All in the same area over the boardwalk's general store on the boardwalk. Best is the single-story, which you can request but is not guaranteed, including because it has a larger combined living room, dining room and kitchen area, has a fairly large laundry room for the w/d near the master bathroom, and the master bedroom is on one side and the other two bedrooms on the other side of the villa.

The two-story is OK but has one major design flaw. There is no laundry room but instead there is a small closet with the w/d at the end of the hall on the second floor right next to the last bedroom, and those machines are loud and keep those in that last bedroom awake if run at night, besides also requiring the people in the master bedroom having to climb stairs to use it.

That sounds great. Do you have enough points that the girls can have the GV and you/dh can have a studio at BWVs?
That is what I would do in your situation.

That is what we are now thinking.
Or maybe down size to 2 bedroom for them and studio for parents.
We all agree 21 year old girls don't need to see 57 year old dad in the morning.
And 57 year old dad does not need to see 21 year olds after a night in Epcot. :rolleyes1
(As long as they are responsible and safe)

We brought our son and eight of his friends with us to WDW when they graduated from HS. We had an OKW GV. We took the master, some of the kids slept in the two other bedrooms and some slept in the living room. Other than one breakfast together at Chef Mickey's and a few meals in the villa (and they didn't have to sit to eat with Bill and I) we didn't see the kids much for the entire trip. The two of us went to the parks when we wanted to; the kids went to the parks when they wanted to.

As a parent of a 26 and 22 year old I would most certainly do this, as I said above. You will have to always watch what you are doing from the second you get up to you are in your bedroom. Just do as you would but at night go back to your room to sleep and bathroom. The girls
will feel much more comfortable too.

Enjoy!

This will be so much more enjoyable for all of you. They are your points, yet you're considering 'hiding out'. The 2 bedroom will allow room for 8 in beds, and the studio will give you your own space.
