BWV fans - NOW I get it! (long)

Dreamfinder2-

Here I was looking forward to the gloom and doom of a Monday, the traffic, being in my office, dealing with one crisis after another only to drag my weary self home to hear the trials and tribulations of the miserable day my DW had, and then I read your posting and I have to smile. I actually felt good.

Leave it to you to take a perfectly horrid day and turn it into a pleasant experience......

Thank you.

Psssst, you're not supposed to let anyone know you enjoyed yourself:sad2:. Tell these folks about the hot weather and burnt out lightbulb and leave it at that; yeah and then blame it on BWV. Otherwise, they'll all want to go and book up those rooms that I am looking to book.

What a beautiful trip report!

No, folks, BW turned out to be a bright, fresh-scrubbed morning world ... to watch the sun rise over Epcot, to see those solitary joggers pass by beneath our balcony, to watch other guests laden with muffins and danish coming from the bakery, to hear those squeals of delight from the little kids with their parents in tow, headed for the buses or boats... it just doesn't get any better. For us, it was a little bit of heaven. And yes, we were greeted with "welcome homes," and the front desk CM's were oh-so gracious.

All these little things, for me also, make the trip to WDW so wonderful. Doesn't matter what the view is...you can find these sites all over the world. I love to just sit on Main Street and watch the people having a great time. And I also can never understand all those whiny, negative trip reports about minor things...life is not perfect. Jeez, I get all excited about the complimentary shampoo bottles with Mickey on them!

We will be treating 9 other family members to BWV in October and I just cannot wait!

Thanks - your post made my day! :goodvibes

Dreamfinder2

That was one of the best trip reports - thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean about pixie dust, memroies and family. We are going with 19 family members in August. There is a smile on my face and tears in my eyes.

That was an awesome report! Makes me almost wish we were staying at "home" this time around. We're on our way to OKW/VWL this time around. I'm so excited! This is my boyfriend and I::Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm glad you had a great experience! I'm concerned about the weather, but not about the magic!!!

Kim

Thank you Dreamfinder...........

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: I love my BWV...........

Dreamfinder, the "magic" still exists because you knew where to look to find it, sadly many do not.

And that's what Disney and DVC are all about. ::yes::

I almost forgot! We used the services of wegoshop.com for our groceries. We e-mailed them our shopping list, and they filled it perfectly. They delivered to BW right when they said they would. Their services are reasonable, at a fair price. I can't recommend them too highly. It saved us from having to make a grocery trek and gave us just a little extra down time in our villa before heading to HDD.

And, no, I am not a compensated endorser. Give these folks a try.

If you're reading this... thanks, Eric and Rebecca!

:grouphug:

Thank you! I was able to give my family a similar experience (but our view was of the driveway...no one seemed to care though).

Thanks for the great trip report. Glad to hear you had a great trip! We love BWV and never fail to have a wonderful WDW trip when staying there.
Question about wegoshop.com-- can you get perishible items like bacon, deli lunchmeat, etc. ? Or is it like netgrocer with only non perishible items?
Thanks!

Wegoshop delivers anything, including perishables. I think there may be some restrictions on items you need to be 21+ to purchase. Their website gives details. We ordered bacon, eggs, refrigerated biscuits and sweet rolls, for example.

I believe. I believe in pixie dust, and in one man's dream, and the joy of being with friends and family.

ahhhhhhhhh :D
LOVE BW view ~ sipping coffee as the "world" ever-so-slowly lightens, the distant horns of the boats, the ppl laughing at themselves in the fun-house mirror.
thanks for the warm & fuzzies, with a great dose of humor!

What a great way to start my morning. We just returned for a week's trip to Ottawa, Canada. While a beautiful city, I didn't get my regular dose of Disney magic while we were gone. We are also BWV owners who took 10 members of my family in January and had the same type of experience you did. It is truly magical to us and has been for every trip "home" we have made. I can't wait until September for our next trip. Thanks for a wonderful post!

A truly heartfelt post which I truly enjoyed! That special Disney feeling is always with us on our trips to WDW, and, thankfully, all of our guests have shared it. Thank you for making me relive it while here in NY.

What a great entry. I hope to one day experience BWV with DH now that we are DVC members.

Your report makes me miss Disney just that much more and we just got back 2 weeks ago. The next WDW trip we are talking about is 2006. I can't wait that long. We have big trip planned in 2005 including Hawaii and Disneyland, but 2 years without WDW -I won't be able to handle it.

Thanks for the great outlook on Disney you made me smile!!!

Awesome. 15 of us are going (BWV BW view) in a month. Should be great also.

The best part is knowing all the negative posters starting a reply, then finally just closing the reply post in udder defeat.

Bravo!!! I loved reading your report. My family and I also had a magical experience with our first trip "home" to the BWV. We brough my parents, who hadn't been to WDW since the '80's. We were swimming in pixie dust from the moment we arrived at the BWV. We can't wait to return this October with the newest member of our little family, who will be 14 months at that time, and our oldest DS, who will be 4. DS still talks about that trip when he was 2. Truly Disney Magic!!!

Glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip!:wave2:

I am pleased to be able to tell you that the magic still exists. It enshrouds you like a vapor. On your next visit, take a moment to relish this very special gift, and try not to smile. I dare ya!

THANK YOU for making me laugh and cry within seconds of each other. I just read this out loud to DH and couldn't do it without blubbering...

I hope that you've started a new trend on this board -- remembering what the magic is all about

Jade1, I had to laugh (not at you, but just in your general direction) ... Did you mean "UTTER defeat?" 'Cause if not, we're talking about cows here.

DW asked me, after reading all these posts, "Would you have put in anything negative if we'd found anything?"

Well, possibly. It was HOT, and there was that burned-out lightbulb, but, my gosh, what would it take to ruin a Disney trip?

For us ... a LOT. It really is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?
