If you choose to take the boat to MGM, it's often faster to walk from BWV to the boat dock at Swan/Dolphin, rather than taking the boat from BWV. The boat goes directly from Swan/Dolphin to MGM, and the walk from BWV to Swan/Dolphin is very short.
